Sabra Medical was founded by Yonatan Greenstein, MD, FCCP. Years prior, he cared for a patient that suffered from a complication from a misplaced intraosseous catheter. This focused his passion for innovation and led to the creation of SureWave IO Confirm to make intraosseous access safer for patients.
Dr. Greenstein is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, Sleep Medicine, and Critical Care Echocardiography. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in the Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Greenstein graduated from Rutgers College magna cum laude in 2006. He obtained his M.D. from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2010. He completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the New York University School of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine in 2016 where he served as a Chief Fellow in his final year. He also completed a fellowship in Sleep Medicine at Winthrop University Hospital in 2017.
In addition to his academic and clinical roles, Dr. Greenstein is a recognised leader in medical education. He serves as the course leader for the nationally recognised CHEST course, Ultrasonography Essentials in Critical Care, where he imparts critical knowledge and skills to medical professionals across the country. His contributions to the field are further highlighted by his role as an Editorial Board Member for the CHEST Journal’s Ultrasound Corner.
Dr. Greenstein’s commitment to excellence in education is reflected in his numerous accolades. He has been honored as a Distinguished CHEST Educator from 2018 to 2024, a testament to his dedication to advancing medical education and improving patient outcomes through innovative teaching methods.
Under his leadership, Sabra Medical has been at the forefront of medical innovation, particularly in the area of intraosseous catheter placement. Dr. Greenstein’s groundbreaking discovery that the pressure waveform analysis technique is superior to the standard of care for confirming IO catheter placement underscores his commitment to enhancing patient safety and outcomes.
Empowering healthcare providers with precision and confidence, Sabra Medical envisions a future where the placement of intraosseous catheters is accurately verified with ease.
